D.Pharma. or Diploma in Pharmacy is an undergraduate Diploma Course in the medical field of Pharmacy. Pharmacy is a medical field involved in the preparation, dispensing and appropriate use of medication meant for therapeutic purposes. The course provides the minimum qualification to become a Registered Pharmacist in India. D.Pharmacy is a two years course with main goal is to educate and train the student for practicing pharmacy. This is the minimum qualification to get registered as a pharmacist in India.

  • Human Anatomy & Physiology relevant to drug action
  • Pharmacology and drug interaction basics
  • Fundamentals of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  • Intake:- 60
  • Dispensing of medicines and prescription handling
  • Hospital and Community Pharmacy practices
  • Drug storage, safety, and quality control
Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) Eligibility Criteria
  • Passed 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination from a recognized board/university.
  • Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology (Zoology and Botany).
  • Minimum aggregate score of 45%–50%
  • The candidate must be from the science stream.

Although D. Pharma ia a Diploma programme, there are some good job opportunities that condidates can seek after completing this course. Jobs are available at pharmacist of government hospital, private pharmacy stores, pharmaceutical companies, etc. Job opportunities are better if candidates pursuing B. Pharma after the D. Hospital Pharmacist
